"Loved By Lu" is Sue-Ann Staff Estate Winery's most popular dry white wine—and you can taste it right away. This elegant, fruity Riesling is a tribute to Sue-Ann's grandmother and mentor, Lu Staff, who taught her from a young age how to manage a vineyard with love and care.

Wine description
The Riesling "Loved By Lu" is a brilliant example of a classic Ontario Riesling: lively, fruity, and beautifully balanced. You'll taste crisp green apple, citrus zest, and a subtle hint of grilled pineapple. The wine is approachable, refined, and both friendly and refreshing.

Vinification
In October 2020, the grapes were hand-harvested from 16- to 30-year-old vines on the estate's vineyard. The vines are situated on thin clay soil with limestone beneath – ideal terroir for Riesling. The grapes were gently pressed and cool fermented, after which the wine was aged in stainless steel tanks. The wine was lightly sweetened and filtered before bottling.

This wine is best enjoyed as an aperitif, well chilled, or with:
- Young, fresh cheeses
- Mild, fragrant curries
- Roasted or grilled chicken and pork
- Asian dishes
- Salmon, quiche and egg dishes
