This beautiful Icewine is a tribute to Howard Victor Staff, winemaker Sue-Ann's father. Howard was a dedicated family man, farmer, and pillar of the community, and a huge fan of Sue-Ann's wines—with a special fondness for her Icewine.

This beautiful ice wine has received several awards for good reason:

The grapes were harvested on December 29, 2017, at the estate vineyard in Jordan, Ontario (Niagara Peninsula). The soil consists of clay with a limestone subsoil. 2017 was a warm growing season, resulting in characteristic Vidal aromas.

Vinification:
The grapes were pressed at -11°C, yielding a very small amount of concentrated juice (40.4° Brix). Fermentation took place for three months in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature with selected yeasts. The wine was sterile filtered and bottled without fining or additions.

Tasting notes:
An expressive Icewine with vibrant fruit notes and refined minerality. You'll taste candied lemon peel, orange marmalade, and peach jam, combined with wet stone and refreshing acidity. The long, seductive finish makes this wine extra special.
