Bella Terra Vineyards - Chardonnay Barrel Fermented 2019

The 2019 vintage shows incredible flavor definition, with a fantastic framework of acidity, elegance and precision. Situated on the original farm on the eastern side of their vineyards, the winery hand harvests their Chardonnay from the oldest vines, planted in 1988.

Fermented and matured in mainly neutral French oak barrels, this wine shows an intriguing nose of fresh lemon, yellow apple, apple pie, chamomile and fragrant spicy aromas. The palate opens with lively lemon, followed by ripe apple, pear and nutmeg, resulting in a friendly, full-bodied wine. It offers a fantastic richness, persistent fruit and memories of baking spices in a long finish.
