Chateau Vartely - Moldova

Château Vartely is one of the finest jewels of Moldavian wineries. The latest innovations in grape growing are combined with a passion for producing wines of true top quality. Château Vartely produces wines from both European and indigenous grape varieties and this combination has placed the company at the top of the wine industry.
Château Vartely has therefore not received many medals and awards for nothing. Not only nationally, but mainly also during prestigious international competitions such as: Mondial de Bruxelles, Mundus Vini, Vinalies Internationales, Decanter, International Wine & Spirits Competition, Sakura, Citta del Vino, International Wine Challenge, and many others.

The Château Vartely brand was developed and launched in 2004. The name Vartely comes from the name of the town of Orhei which means "place of the fortress" in Hungarian (vár + hely or fortress + place).
The winery's slogan is: "Wine with love for you", because every wine that Château Vartely produces contains a piece of the heart of all those who work at Château Vartely. With their professional expertise and passion in every aspect of winemaking, the Château Vartely team is there for everyone, day in, day out.

The grapes are carefully cultivated in their own vineyards. These are located in areas of IGP Codru and IGP Valul lui Traian and ensure that all wines are produced at the highest quality level. The characteristic terroir of these regions gives the wines their unique character and personality, vintage after vintage. The winery covers a total of 250 hectares. Mainly on excellent and unique plots, located in breathtaking places.

In 2008, Château Vartely opened a tourist complex in respect of local traditions and authenticity, which has become a popular and picturesque retreat thanks to its distinctive architecture and charm.
